ReasonMD frequently asked questions

Straightforward answers about the EMR, AI-assisted workflows, public forms, electronic prescribing, and customer documentation.

What is ReasonMD and who is it for?

ReasonMD is a physician-developed electronic medical record for independent ambulatory practices. It connects documentation, patient context, follow-up work, team action, and revenue-cycle visibility.

Who controls AI-assisted content?

The clinician remains in control. AI-assisted notes, summaries, reasoning support, and Care Briefs are intended for provider review, editing, and approval. They do not replace professional clinical judgment or diagnosis.

How do I request a demo or contact support?

Use the Request Demo form on the homepage or the verified email listed on the Contact page. Existing customers should use the support channels provided during onboarding.

Where can I ask security, privacy, or legal questions?

The Contact page provides the verified contact path for security reviews, privacy requests, and legal inquiries. The public Privacy Policy and Website Terms explain how this website is governed.

Can I submit patient information through the public website?

No. Do not submit protected health information, patient records, or sensitive clinical information through the public demo form or general email. The public website is not intended for patient care or emergencies.

What is the status of electronic prescribing?

Electronic prescribing is being prepared through connected services and remains subject to implementation, testing, approval, configuration, and applicable customer documentation. This website does not claim that DoseSpot or Surescripts production approval or certification is complete.

Does ReasonMD influence which medication a prescriber selects?

Prescribers retain independent control over medication selection. ReasonMD and its connected e-prescribing services do not require or limit a prescriber’s choice of medication for commercial reasons.

Can a patient choose any pharmacy?

Patients retain the right to choose their pharmacy. ReasonMD and its connected e-prescribing services do not require use of a particular pharmacy or interfere with the patient’s pharmacy choice.

What prescribing information may be displayed?

Formulary, benefit, interaction, and safety information may be displayed to support review, but it does not replace the prescriber’s independent clinical judgment.

Where are product and customer terms provided?

Customer access to the ReasonMD EMR is governed by separate customer agreements, a business associate agreement when applicable, product privacy documentation, and onboarding materials. The public Website Terms do not replace those agreements.
